What is an escape game?
A game where your team have to escape from a locked room full of puzzles within a set time limit.
You just said “Locked room”? Am I really going to be locked in?
No, you're not locked in but do have to complete the challenges to earn your escape.
What if we don’t escape?
You’ll be locked in forever… o.k not really! Our staff will come in, explain how far along you managed to get and then set you free!
Do I need to make a booking?
Yes, all games require an advance booking. If you would like to play on the same day, please call us to check availability.
How do I book?
Click on any “Book Now” button. Choose which escape mission you would like to take on
- Scroll through the availability calendar to check availability and select the date and time you require
- Add your game to your basket and checkout. If you want to book more than one room simply select "Add another room" when the pop-up appears.
- Read through and click that you accept our terms and conditions and then complete your payment.
I made a booking but we have another person who wants to join last minute. Can they come with us?
As long as their joining in does not exceed the maximum capacity of the room you have booked they are more than welcome to pay on arrival on the day.
Something has come up and we can’t make our booking. What do we do?
Get in touch as soon as possible via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. As per our terms and conditions, all bookings are non-refundable and we cannot offer any amendments to a booking within 72 hours of your scheduled mission start time.
Do I need to print off my booking confirmation when I come?
There’s no need to take anything along with you on the day. Arrive 10 minutes before your booked game start time and let our staff members know the booking name and we’ll check you in.
Where is Breakout escape games Aberdeen exactly?
We are located in Aberdeen City Centre on Palmerston Road in the arches underneath the railway a short walk from Union Square. Turn right when leaving Union Square and walk away from the harbour along Palmerston Road and you’ll find us on the right hand side in Arches 1 and 2 underneath the railway.
We don't have customer parking on site but there is parking available in Union Square and on the street right outside.
When should we plan to arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked start time. Please note that we cannot admit groups who are late and do not offer refunds if your group are late so please be prompt.
Is there a dress code?
We don't have a dress code and will provide any special (non-standard) clothes you might need for your particular mission when you arrive!
Is there an age limit?
Each team must have one player over the age of 18. We suggest a minimum suitable age of 6 years old for our games.
Do you have parking?
We do not have any designated parking however there is free on-street parking right outside. Alternatively, there is parking close by at Union Square
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes! We have accessible bathrooms and no steps leading into or within the venue. However not all of our rooms are wheelchair friendly. We would not recommend Dark Arts or V75 to those with mobility concerns.
Do you have lockers where I can keep my belongings?
We do not have any lockers however do have coat racks for each room. We do recommend any personal or valuable items to be taken into the room with you.
Do you offer any birthday packages?
Unfortunately, due to our venue size and layout, we cannot offer any extra for birthday parties. We do not have the space to set up any food or cake and cannot allow food in the rooms.
How long will we be?
You have 1 hour to escape the room however we do recommend that you will be in the venue for a maximum of an hour and a half. This allows time for a brief before your game, the hour in the room, and for a photo opportunity at the end.
I tried to book and now it says “reserved”?
When booking in, our system automatically reserves slots. This is to prevent multiple people from booking in at the same time. When a slot shows as reserved the booking has not gone through and is still to be completed.
This can be accessed by selecting "Go to basket" on the book now page. Should the booking not be completed, the slot will be available to book again within 15 minutes.
